"A silver plated petrol foot long table lighter. This is a very rare piece indeed. This model is usually seen with markings as a twelve inch ruler. This example, however, is plain with no engravings. It is a classic form 'lift arm' lighter. It is made by Dunhill. The most prolific, and highly collected manufacturer of smoking paraphernalia. The piece is fueled by simple lighter fluid, and is filled on the base by removing the screw. The piece is fully signed on both the base and on the lift arm. There is some slight plate loss, but it enhances the overall appearance of the piece having the gold from the brass showing through in places. It is free from any dents or scratched. Made in England, circa 1930's."
