A navy blue calf leather zip folio by Hermès. This elegant and very practical piece is the perfect folio to take on work trips or as a daily to the office. Finished in this highly attractive navy blue leather with a mid-blue stitch, it can be the perfect accessory if you work in jeans or suit.

The case is made in the finest calf leather available with a beautifully refined natural interior in a dusty pale blue. There is a thick center dividing piece of bonded, hand stitched leather in order to keep files and electronics separate, and provide a little more rigidity to the piece overall. One side is wider than the other to allow for the storage of books or more bulky files or electronics, the other side slimmer, more for paperwork. The zip is brass Eclair hardware, with the classic Hermès diamond shape zipper pull. The top end of the case has a wrist strap attached with double d-rings, with sliding keeper for it to remain tight to the wrist, if required.

The Inside of the folio is embossed with gold foil in the middle left interior. On the opposite side is the logo of French food maker Rivoire & Carret. This large manufacturer was founded in 1860, it is therefore assumed that these were a private commission piece for the executives marking the one hundredth anniversary of the company. Being a special order piece, this navy blue was not a stock colour at the time, and subsequently there are no other examples of this piece made in the colour. A stunning masterclass in classic leather goods making, as one comes to expect from the name in luxury leather. The condition is "new Old stock", having never been used, and comes in the original, classic Hermès orange card box with the Rivoire et Carret name under the logo for being made especially for them. Made in France, circa 1960."
